The spirit and impact of an organization is a true reflection of those whose contributions sustain and advance its mission, vision and values. Independence Center continues to expand its programs and services for the purpose of strengthening the St. Louis Community by continuing to enhance the quality of life for our most underserved citizens. And nearly $1 million of the support for our work comes from individuals, businesses, organizations and foundations in our region.
Contributions at every level make a difference, but those at our upper levels of giving belong to a special group of individuals who believe that an investment in the value of Independence Center is an investment in our future.
Our programs and services provide exemplary psychiatric rehabilitative experiences for adults with chronic and persistent mental illness that are important to our social well-being. Our services cultivate public participation and build organizational partnerships that improve civic life.
Major annual giving provides Independence Center with vital resources for work that impacts our city, county and our community.
For personal service we invite you to call our Director of Development, Abby Berger, at (314) 880-5404 or you may send an email with questions or a mailing address to email@example.com
Philanthropy is the engine that powers Independence Center’s mission; without the generosity of individuals and families compelled by the legacy of Susan and George Hecker and our founding families, we could not address the health and quality of life of people living with severe mental illness. Becoming an Independence Center’s Legacy Fund supporter ensures that we remain an important and reliable institution in the St. Louis region.
You can ensure that future generations in our community experience access to the highest quality programs available by including Independence Center in your estate planning. It’s called “Planned Giving” and there can be significant tax-saving benefits with this type of charity. Our Planned Giving Team made up of board members, staff, members would be delighted to assist you in a plan that matches your family’s philanthropic goals and ensures a confident future for Independence Center.
If you have already included Independence Center in your estate plans, let us thank you and welcome you into the Legacy Fund.
