The Welcome Center is the “Front Door” for those who are interested in services at Independence Center. Our highly qualified staff will help you determine eligibility and guide you through the enrollment process.
To get enrolled as quickly and efficiently as possible we offer walk-in hours for enrollment on Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.
We are conveniently located at 4245 Forest Park Avenue, Saint Louis, MO 63108, just off the Cortex Metrolink Station.

Eligibility for Services
- Adult, age 18 and above
- Recorded diagnosis of a serious mental illness such as:
- Major Depressive Disorder
- Schizophrenia
- Bipolar Disorder
- Generalized Anxiety Disorder
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Records may be requested to assist with verifying eligibility. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and the Uninsured.

- Integrated Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders: Mental Health and Substance Use Support
- Healthcare Home: Screening, Education, and truly Coordinated Care between Behavioral and Physical Health
- Residential Housing: Support and Care for Individuals looking to gain more Independence
