We are pleased to announce that we are changing the name of Midwest Psychiatry to Independence Center Health Group. Our services, staff, and mission remain exactly the same.

Midwest Psychiatry has always been the psychiatric services arm of Independence Center. This name change is part of the bigger picture of what Independence Center is doing to better serve people with chronic mental illness.

We have been rebranding our organization to become more visible in the community. Part of the rebranding is to connect all our services under the Independence Center name. This will help the people we serve, as well as medical providers, donors, and the community at large better understand the full extent of the work we do.

The mission of Independence Center is to provide all the services and resources a person with a chronic mental illness needs, to manage their symptoms, find belonging and purpose, and gain the independence to live a healthy, quality life.

Independence Center is a Missouri Healthcare Home with a purpose to inspire wellness and to coordinate all medical care.

We provide residential care facilities for those who need 24-hour oversight, and apartments for those ready for independent living.
