Independence Center is closely monitoring the status of the COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) outbreak so we can share vital information with our community and will continue to do so over the coming weeks and months.

In order to keep our population healthy, we are requesting that members, staff, and all visitors take the necessary precautions to decrease potential exposure. We are doing the same in all of our facilities.

A couple of notes about what we are doing at IC:

We have established cleaning/disinfecting guidelines for all facilities in line with WHO/CDC recommendations. In addition, professional cleaners will be on site to clean on weekends.

All facilities will be proactively screening members to make sure they are staying healthy.

CSS and Unit staff will continue reach out calls and coordinating basic supplies (including food and hygiene items, if necessary) for members so they can self-quarantine safely and effectively

If you have any of the symptoms shown below, please reach out to your unit staff or CSS to alert them. They will help you navigate to correct course of action.

We know that the coronavirus epidemic and related media coverage can increase anxiety, stress, and worry so focusing on well-being is important. Please continue to reach out to IC throughout this time if you are struggling. We are here to help!
